Unbelievable..... but true!

My computer is not working, and I did not got the chance to download the Christmas pictures nor my birthday pictures........ therefore, I do not have anything to show you. But I can tell you......
We stayed at home since it was a bit cold so everybody came to my house to spend Christmas Eve together (family tradition), in which we await for the next day to come. As a tradition, we open presents after midnight, rarely we leave some for the morning.  On the 24th. the boys went to sleep at their usual time (8:30 pm) but the girls stayed awake 25 minutes passed midnight (until some presents were opened).
I'll like to thank my family for the support and all the effort!!! God bless you ;)

Well, I have some photos to share...

Quints Dedication to God at Church....

As part of our beliefs, we do not baptize the babies but what we do is present them to our congregation and dedicate them to God like Mary and Joseph did to Jesus. So we choose our witnesses or God parents for each baby..... it was great to have all the people I love with us.

Elsie's Birthday!!

Elsa is a dear friend of mine and sister in Jesus Christ.....and with the complicity of Ana and Dario and the help of my cousin Denisse, we ventured to Katy (we drove nearly an hour) to surprise her on her birthday. Her house is one of the few places I feel free to visit with all the babies.....

Professional Pictures !!!

Back in October while getting ready for the winter, the quints had a photo shoot session. It was great because I did not have to go anywhere since the photographer came to my house!!!! The temperature outside worked perfectly for us and the babies did not fuss that much (remember working with 5 little ones is hard) but Tiffany did a fabulous job.
I received the Cd yesterday and I would like to share some pics......

Quints are home !!

It has been a while...... but I have been very busy! Now all of my babies are home but they came out of the hospital on different days.
The first one to leave the hospital was Matilde on Sept. 8 with only 5 weeks and 4 days. Next one was Isaac... just the day after on Sept. 9. The following weeks Aaron and Joel came out..... Aaron on Sept. 12 and Joel on Sept. 13, and finally Priscilla on Sept. 18 after having and infection in the intestines  (NECK) that was controlled by doctors on time.
Having poor sleep... but it is worth it!!

Taking it easy !

Oh well, I forgot to mention that last Sunday I end up at the emergency room. When I woke up that morning I noticed that my face was weired and I was not speaking properly. At the e.r. room, I was advised that my condition was due to stress and its called "Bells Palsy" (the right side of my face was paralyzed)..... little that I knew but it was even worst..... I went for a follow up with my doctor and since I also have the presence of high blood pressure, my condition was Preeclampsia Postpartum.
I was put in hospital again to control my blood pressure and empty stomach for 24 hrs, having to take an iv of magnesium.
Now I am much better but still doing therapy to restore the mobility of my face.

Growing and learning....

For the next weeks and until they leave the hospital...... they will have to increase the eating amounts, drink from the bottle, keep the weight, and be breathing without incidents (heart rate dropping or forgetting to breath).

Aaron... he is very strong, he took the iv off on his 1st day of life

Priscilla.... she can get very loud

Matilde.... dislikes to be bother with the light, loves to sleep

Joel.... my laizy one, always needing extra attention.

Isaac..... the happy camper!

On the News!!!!

The hospital invited the tv stations as well as the Houston Chronicle to cover the story...... the doctors were excited to announce that even though I just carried them for almost 30 weeks.... the weight on each baby was "appreciably more than quints typically weight at birth", and their are healthy given the prematurity.

Before we went for the interview.....
